My mum is one of 5 children who were literally the quality street family - a blue eyed red head, a green eyed brunette (my uncle), blue eyed brunette (my mum), Hazel eyes and auburn hair (aunt) and lastly a blue eyed blonde (aunt). Almost every permutation of eye and hair colour there is. I wondered what I was going to get when my boys were born (hubs is dark hair dark eyes, I'm Hazel eyes, blonde hair). One of each of us was the result. My eldest aunt, the redhead, got 4 red head son's. My middle aunt got a red head daughter and red head son. It's fascinating to watch genetics play out across the generations. Not so great if you're on the end of the bullying. However in my experience children are cruel indiscriminately and will pick on any difference.

The very first part of my red & brown hair to go grey was the red parts of my hair. Also, when I go to the dentist we play this game...it's called are you numb enough to drill? Anyone else have that problem too? As far the Brit thing and their red hair issues, well, when England was cut off from the continent, and there was less breeding among non-family members...let's just say, "Thank God for the Vikings." Of course, the royals didn't have to worry about the Vikings, hence the big ears and tails all the royals have.

Now about those ginger-geehoties, maybe if you Brits were nicer to them they wouldn't become ginger-geehoties.
