They're tampering with convenience for everyone which is a big no-no. Lunatic measures like this may very well wake the electorate.

Looking on the bright side, it's a mercy they haven't made it such that English second home owners must observe a speed limit 5mph slower than the indigenous Welsh. But moving swiftly along.........T S Eliot's ‘endless struggle to think well of themselves’ should be emblazoned across the sky. It would save aliens from outer space a lot of time in making sense of the Anglophone parts of our planet.

Thank you, Clarice. My Holden Caulfield-like disdain for self-promotion explains that one...

The process is the punishment. We are meant to suffer and learn that we should just obey. The climate crisis is completely ridiculous. Saving lives in this case is nuts. The goal is cancelling movement. Stationary targets are easier to take out.

Mr. Gage, in my experience it's never about saving the planet or lives. It's always, without exception, about control.

What's next banning gas and diesel vehicles?

Oh, they are.

Yes. Our Unelected Prime Minister rowed back on that silly policy, to gigantic derision. These people actually believe they will stop the climate from changing. It's demented. I don't mean to be too glib, but c'mon now. The climate will change, regardless of what some silly little overdeveloped primates think about it.

I agree. Short of nuclear war, we have very little influence over our planet.

This will be rolled out across the UK if Labour wins the general election.....We regularly travel to Nottingham for a recreational pursuit, which involves an early start and drive through what would be deemed "residential areas" currently subject to national speed limits, as they are on dual carriage ways. If Labour have their way, the last 20 miles of our journey would be carried out at 20mph which to even the meanest intelligence is patently absurd....or you would hope so. Sadly Wales has demonstrated this may not be the case as the Idiots In Charge are incapable of recognising the need for nuance, detail, planning, forethought, logic, intelligence,.....

I don't think Starmer is much like Drakeford here in the People's Republic of Wales. Hopefully, I'll be watching from across the Channel!

Aye, but it's not Keiff the tool makers son we have to worry about, is it? It's a party of clowns funded by Extinction Rebellion and Just Stop Oil.....😂 Good luck with the asylum application, have you secured a berth in a dinghy?

Always the way. Why can't we have a sane party? The Tories are economic Darwinists. Labour are cultural vandals. The Social Democratic Party are sound, but a wasted vote.

Hahaha. That's Plan B. I'll try the usual way first.

It's so ironic. You wish that civic leaders would pay attention to truly important issues. Then you get this and realize you're better off if they do nothing!
